Another great option that has actually become one of our favorites is the Alacran Cristal Tequila. Which is an ultra-premium Anejo tequila. It is packaged in a clear glass bottle that is sleek looking. The tequila uses agaves from 7-10 years old harvested in the highlands of Jalisco.
It is matured for 14 months in American Oak barrels from bourbon generating a rich, woody flavor with a hint of vanilla. As a result of their exclusive clarifying filtration process, a crystal product is produced with light gold reflections. Ensuring the quality of the product, each bottle is hand-labeled and numbered.
The last tequila that I added was the El Mayor Cristalino Tequila. To achieve the crystal clear brilliance, the 100% blue agave añejo tequila is filtered using ultra-fine charcoal. This process creates a Cristalino tequila that has the complexity and character of an añejo, with the crisp, bright notes and color of a blanco expression.
Aged a minimum of 12 months, El Mayor Cristalino boasts flavors of cooked agave with oak notes, hints of vanilla, complex fruity undertones and a fresh finish of herbal and citrus notes.
