Social Media Influencer Gift Guide: Holiday Edition
Hey. I hope that you are having a fab day? I wanted to put together a gift guide this year just for social media influencers and bloggers. I have put together some of my favorite items and items that I own myself that help me throughout the year.
Some might think that being an influencer or blogger is easy work, but I can tell you first hand it takes a ton of time. You really need the right equipment and skills to get the job done successfully.
Below you will find some of my favorite products that should be included on anyones wish list this year.
My first item is actually something that I just purchased myself because I have been wanting a new mirrorless camera. A very good friend over at But First Joy recommended it. The Sony Alpha a6000. I have not had a chance to use this much so far or get into the settings but so far I am totally digging it. Here is an example of my first image.
My second pick for anyone who enjoys photography or posting on social media or even their blog is a wonderful background. Snap It Boards have to be one of my favorite when it comes to backgrounds or flat lay images.

Another amazing product and it seems like everyone has one is a great Cinema Light Box. These are super fun if you enjoy posting to Instagram to really get your message across.
I am the type of person that likes to see my images that I am taking on my computer screen. I found that using a long tether cord has come in handy.
This allows me to really see my shot. If you are a social media influencer that styles images I would highly suggest getting one of these for your office.
Since Flay lay images are so popular I also wanted to share another item that can be found in my office. This tripod arm comes in handy so much! When I first purchased it I was not sure if I would use it but I DO!!!
The OH50 allows the camera/bar to be horizontally positioned for overhead/top-down photo and video shots. Perfect for product photography and “how to” videos. The mounting sled can be mounted to tripods with 1/4 20 and 3/8 screws. The mounting sled also has 2 1/4 20 holes for mounting lights and monitors. Smartphone holder and ball head allows for full range of camera/ smartphone angles.
Adjustable length and counterweight holder allows for extra stable smooth shots! Recommended for tripods/ stands with payloads of 10lbs or more. For best results, mount the OH50 on a tripod that is securely seated on a tabletop that you are filming. Use the ball head to adjust the orientation of your shot. For cameras without an articulating screen, we recommend using a monitor to frame your shot.
Lastly, if you take a lot of over headshots with your phone I would highly suggest adding the Vastar Universal Smartphone Tripod Adapter Cell Phone Holder Mount Adapter. This can work with most Tripods and will work with the Tripod arm. This really can help when you need to post to Instagram and don’t want the hassle of going through your computer to do so.
As you already know the list could go on and on, but for me, these certainly will help you along your journey. Another great tool is to make sure that you have a phone that can handle what you do. I personally have a Galaxy and adore it but that is for another posting 🙂
