Festive Fashion- From Office to Christmas Party!

As we reach the end of November, chances are your calendar for the festive season is starting to fill up fast. Christmas provides a wonderful opportunity to be social and make memories with loved ones, but it can get incredibly busy. On a number of occasions you might find yourself having to dash right off to a party right from the office, but fear not- there are ways you can still look fabulous! Here are some ideas for going about it.

Plait your hair

Wearing your hair in a plait or french braid to work looks smart and professional, and is a style you can quickly put in in the morning. Then after you clock off at 5pm, take it out and you’re left with gorgeous, volumized wavy hair! It instantly transforms you and gives you glam hair with no need for styling tools or heat. Bring a travel sized can of hairspray in your bag to keep it in place, and you’re good to go for the whole of the party.

 

Bring some makeup

It’s easy to take a makeup look from day to night, you don’t even need that many products to achieve it. Pop into your makeup bag a compact eyeshadow palette, eyeliner, mascara, bronzer and a red lipstick. Blend a little eyeshadow, line your eyes and apply the mascara. Add some contour to your cheeks, and a swipe of red lipstick and no one will know you came straight from work!

 

Choose your outfit well

Choosing your outfit well will allow you to make minor changes without the need to pack a giant bag with extra clothes in. A plain black dress, for example, can be worn with tights and a blazer for work, and then you can remove these before the party. A pair of black trousers and heels are perfect for the office, wear a vest top under your blouse, and then remove the blouse after work.

 

Add some accessories

Adding some accessories will change the look of your outfit too so no one will know you’ve been wearing it at work. It could be some sparkle from a Tacori ring and a statement necklace. If you’re wearing your hair up, some diamante dangle earrings would add glamour and be perfect for the festive season. These kinds of things are only small so can be kept in your work bag without weighing you down, and can easily pop them on before heading to the party.

 

Spray some perfume

Finally, a spritz of perfume will always have you feeling party ready. Go with a stronger evening scent, something different to what you’d wear at work. You might have a box of samples at home, if so find one that you can bring with you. Otherwise, you can buy compact, handbag style spray bottles so you don’t have to bring your big bottle with you.
