40 Emotional Songs About Domestic Abuse That Will Hurt Your Emotions

Domestic abuse brings out many negative emotions such shame, anger, guilt, loneliness, sadness, and eventually depression.

One way to deal with these negative emotions is to listen to music. At least to most of us, Music alters our moods, reduces stress, and calms us down.

Why is this so?

Music is said to cause humans and animals to produce dopamine, the chemical that excites us. You guys know it. So you need to know where your dopamine comes from and how to get it. Many are getting this chemical from harmful places such as drugs, sometimes unhealthy foods, and toxic relationships. So why not get it from Music? that is totally harmless.

And I do not get the science behind why we are drawn to music that relates to our specific feeling or situation. For example, we like to listen to sad songs when we are sad. I mean, shouldn’t it be the other way? When we are sad, we listen to happy music to feel good? I don’t get it.
