Signs Your Plumbing System May Need Repairs
Your plumbing system is the heart of your home. There are a lot of things you can do without but good plumbing is not one of them. Home plumbing can be a complicated system, but it’s usually not hard to tell when something is wrong. Here are some signs your home plumbing needs repairs.
A Change In Water Pressure
If the water pressure in your shower suddenly changes from strong to weak or vice versa then something is wrong. The most common reason for this is when the showerhead has become clogged by hair.
To fix this, remove the head and unscrew it to clean out any hair or particles that are clogging it. You can also use a pipe cleaner or buy a new shower head if you want. This can be a DIY project but you could call the plumber to handle it for you.

If you use a water tank it may be that you are having water pump issues. You can try to find water pump problems and solutions online and then decide if you want to call a plumber.
Strange Noises
If you hear strange noises coming from under the sink check to see if you’re hearing the sound of running water. The most common cause of this is a leaky faucet or drain pipe.
If there are no leaks in your house, but you still hear water running under your sink, then the noise could be coming from a pipe that has developed a crack in its surface. Call a plumber as this is usually an easy fix.
Running Toilets
If your toilets have been running constantly for hours you may need to contact a plumber.
If this is happening in just one bathroom, it could be because the toilet has an old rubber flapper that needs replacing with a new part. You can find these parts at any hardware store and they are inexpensive and easy to install.
However, if this is happening throughout your home, there may be more serious problems like tree roots in the pipes or cracks in the walls which will require professional help from a plumber.
The best thing to do when you notice this issue is to turn off all water sources and call the plumber.
Sinks That Won’t Drain

If your sinks have been draining slowly or not at all, then there is most likely an issue with the pipes. Drains can become clogged very easily and this simple problem needs immediate attention from a plumber who will be able to clear blockages in the pipe so it starts draining again.
Leaking Faucets
Faucet leaks can waste thousands of liters of water if you don’t catch them in time. If your faucets are dripping or leaking, then it is best to call a plumber right away so that they can fix the problem before it gets worse and more expensive down the line.
