Howdy folks! Today I am sharing another option when it comes to the iHome speaker selection, and in case you missed my posting about the Weather Tough Speaker it is a must see!! During the summer months, I tend to sit outside at night and look at the stars while listening to my favorite music and I know a lot of you enjoy camping, this is where the iHome Lantern Speaker comes in handy.
This speaker comes packed with many options like the Weather Tough but is just a bit different. One thing that I adore about not only the Lantern but the Weather tough is that you can actually pair two speakers together to get amazing stereo sound. Not only that but you also can charge up your smartphone with the built-in power bank!! I just love this feature about this Lantern because while your camping using up your charge to play your tunes, you can make sure that you can get charged back up in case of emergencies or you just forgot the marshmallows.
The Lantern has four modes which include the hi which is white light at 100%, the mid which is white light at 50%, low which is an amber light, and lastly the hazard light. The hazard is a bright flashing red light which you can use for emergencies. The LED light has 225 lumens, which puts off an amazingly bright lite. Not only that but it also has different colors that change with the music 🙂
One thing that surprised me about the Lantern from ihome was the fact that it does have up to 13 hours of wireless audio and up to five hours of wireless auto with lighting. For camping trips or just setting with friends by the pool, this is plenty of time without having to worry about charging the lantern itself. This lantern also can be controlled by the Free iHome app which can control the color and much more! There are also controls on the front bottom of the lantern itself.
So let’s chat about the sound a little bit, shall we? The lantern has only top firing speakers which I actually like because you are getting the full effect no matter where you are sitting in conjunction to the lantern itself. Below you will find just a little video of me walking around the speaker. In my honest opinion, I like the Weather Tough speaker sound a bit better than the lantern, but the lantern is not bad.
Super cool right? I would suggest the iHome Lantern as an option when looking for a camping, swimming, beach companion. This product is IP65 Certified meaning splashproof and sandproof, which is cool!! You can purchase this product online at iHome. There are two different models the one in this posting is the larger iBT91 which is $99.99.
