How To Overhaul Your Living Room
Redoing your living room on a budget can be really tricky. You probably don’t have a lot of time to make the changes either. So if you need to revamp on a budget and with limited cash, check out some of these super quick ways to almost transform your living room.
Do The Shuffle
Sometimes it can be a matter of moving things around, and you can make the room feel entirely different. If you have the TV screwed to the wall, this might limit your options a little bit so you might consider either moving the TV or picking up a new sofa with a different shape. Not sure what to get? Visit facebook.com/SofaManiaUSA1 for some ideas on some great designs. If you aren’t getting the new sofa, this one gives a new look and feel for free and can be done in a few hours.
Switch It Up
Sometimes you’ve simply had the same old cushion covers on for far too long, and it’s time to get some new ones. Cushions are versatile little things, you can swap for faux fur covers, big fluffy ones, woolen ones, or change the color of them. Any type of cover design you can dream of, you can probably buy.
Bring The Outside It
In almost every home interior magazine, blog or photo you will see a plethora of plants. Big ones, small ones and even fake ones. Houseplants are a great way to inject color super quickly. And relatively inexpensively. Larger plants are great for framing fireplaces, and other focus points. Hiding things you’d rather not be looking at and smaller ones are a cute little touch. Cacti, little succulents, and air plants work brilliant no matter the room size.
Scrub It and Love it
Sometimes your rugs, curtains and soft furnishings can get grubby over time. And, we don’t always notice when we live busy lives. Spend some time working out what fabrics need the most love and give them a new lease of life with a good scrub down. If you aren’t feeling confident about this, you can call in an expert soft furnishings cleaner. The same goes for our wooden furniture. Over time they can become dulls, and it could be a matter of some great wood polish, or you might need to sand it down and add a fresh lick of paint to it.
Create
If you have some wall space, then get creative. Add your favorite photos, pictures, and quotes. Pinterest is a great place to look for inspiration about how to get the right look. Using different sizes of frames, with different colors and textures will make this really interesting and a fun project too. A gallery wall will give you the chance to finally display all of those photos that have likely been hidden away somewhere.
So there you have it, super quick ways to give your much-loved living room and little overhaul, without splashing too much cash to make it happen.
