I am a Vanilla ice cream kinda gal, I don’t know about you but there is nothing better. I love the simplicity of it I guess and the amazing toppings you can add such as fruit. For my end of summer recipe, I wanted to share this easy no-churn vanilla bean ice cream. This is one of our coolest recipes and really can add something to your end of summer celebrations.

When I was a kid, ice cream was the tops. It was something I always went for and since I have grown older, not much has changed. I adore making ice cream at home and with this recipe you can’t go wrong. Like the recipe I shared yesterday about the perfect chocolate mousse, this too can be used for gatherings.

You could set up an ice cream bar using all kinds of sweet treats to top the ice cream along with fruit. This is a fun way to allow your family to make it their own or put their personal twist on it.

How To Make No-Churn Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

Like usual I will have a printable recipe below but I like to show you some steps so that you can visualize everything that needs to be done. I don’t know about you but I do so much better when there are actual images of the steps of a recipe. I get lost so quickly trying to get it done so I can chow down.

Ingredients: 

  • 1 vanilla bean 
  • 2 c. heavy cream
  • 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk

For this recipe you just need those three items, but like I said you can add toppings to your grocery list as well. My husband loves nuts on his ice cream 🙂

What you Need To Do:
 

Cut the vanilla bean in half lengthwise and carefully scrape out the seeds with a sharp knife. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream at high speed until stiff peaks form. Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla bean seeds and stir to combine.

Pour mixture into a bread pan or freezer-safe container. Cover and freeze for 4 hours or overnight.

To serve, remove from freezer and let soften for a few minutes before transferring to individual serving bowls. Enjoy!
