Carpet One Welcome A Cure

Help To Spread Our Content!

This is the second year that I am working with cause for a cure with Carpet One Floor & Home and I must say I am loving their designs this year, in particular, the Farmhouse collection. Each year, it is expected that over 250,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and nearly 40,000 of those women will die. Improvements and funds for breast cancer research are essential to preventing deaths, finding a cure and eradicating the disease for good.

25% of the purchase price of each pink ribbon welcome mat sold through the Carpet One Floor & Home Welcome-A-Cure initiative is donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. So far, the campaign has raised nearly 1 million dollars for a variety of breast cancer research charities. Purchasing a welcome mat contributes directly to raising funds for breast cancer research and hopes for finding a cure.

THE GOOD NEWS

  • Death rates from breast cancer have been declining since about 1990, in part due to better screening and early detection, increased awareness, and continually improving treatment options.
  • Right now there are more than 2.8 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.
  • When detected and treated early, 5-year relative survival for localized breast cancer is 98.5%

JOIN THE FIGHT

  • Annual screening mammography beginning at age 40.
  • Breast self-examination is optional but beneficial. Women who choose to do breast self-examination should receive instruction from their health providers.
  • Clinical breast examination every three years for women in their 20s and 30s, and annually for women aged 40 and older.

Carpet One has really gone all out with their designs this year and I really feel that you can find something for your home. They offer not only Farmhouse designs, but classic designs, modern and more!

You can find out more information at the Carpet One website, and I do hope that you check them out! I still have my Mat from the year before last, and as much as we run inside and out, it still looks amazing after all this time.
