As some of you already know I attended the Wow Summit in Orlando, Florida last month! This summit was held at the beautiful Caribe Royale Orlando Resort.
This was my first conference that I have attended to try to learn a bit more about blogging and products. I really had a wonderful time and learned so many helpful things. I went with a fellow blogger from Woman and Their Pretties along with two great friends.
The first night was a fun-filled night of meeting new people at the cocktail party. We played this great game where you had to go up to people and ask them questions. It was a blast! You would try to fill out a card and find people who did those things. Usually I am a very shy person believe it or not, but it was a very comfortable environment.
The following day was the kick off to the Summit! They had many wonderful speakers throughout the day. I think the thing that really hit home for me was the very first speaker. I am sorry I can’t remember her name, that is awful, but if you know me at all it is a wonder I can remember my own name. She was talking about how food in the US is different (different standards) than the rest of the world. Food that is mass-produced for Americans is so different that what you may find over seas. This was something that I had no clue about. It is awful the stuff that is given to us here in the states. It made me really start thinking about what I am putting into my mouth.
The day continued with many other great speakers and workshops. That talked about how you can give your family better food and about food allergies. It is crazy the amount of food allergies that people have now a days. I suffer from a disorderly stomach and I really did learn a lot about all kinds of things I could try. We shall see if they work.
After listening to some of the speakers, my friends and I headed over to the sponsor room. It was filled with wonderful companies like Zevia, FluNada and SweetLeaf! I have to say the company that I was most impressed with was Zevia! Oh Zevia how I do miss you! I have been unsuccessful in finding this product here at home, but I have to tell you this is one soda you have to try. This truly is a remarkable soda! I have a lot of problems drinking any kind of soda, but Zevia does not hurt me one bit. You can find out more about Zevia here.
Another product that I was familiar with is SweetLeaf, as you all know, I did a posting about SweetLeaf a couple of weeks back. Every time I went to go talk with someone at SweetLeaf they were always so busy and that is because their products are so popular. SweetLeaf offers a range of flavors in their Sweet Drop line. These drops have zero calories, zero carbs and are gluten-free! They can be added to almost anything from water, to even food for a little burst of flavor.
A couple of the other products that were at the summit included FluNada, Party ‘Tizers Dippin’ Chips and Mrs. Thinster’s Cookie Thins (which I have to say are amazing and I will be doing a review soon) and Canyon Bakehouse! All of these products are amazing and they are products that I knew very little about, till the Summit. Most of these I will have a review done soon, so you as well can check them out. I will also be hosting a few giveaways!
The last day of the Summit, was a bit sad. I did not want it to end. In the morning my friends and I ran over to the convention center to attend a couple of workshops. Which were amazing. We attended a work shop that introduced me to iBlog Magazine, which I am in love with now. They helped us understand how social media works and how we can make it work for us, as bloggers. We then attended the final remarks and headed out with an amazing goody bag, full of treats! Most of which will be reviewed when the holidays are over and things calm down.
If you have not been to a WoW Summit, I suggest that you attend. I am not a mom of beautiful children, I do have fur babies if that counts, but I did learn so much that can help me in my life. If you’re a blogger or just a mom that would like you and your family to live a healthier life, check out the WoW Summit. I am not sure where it will be held next year, but I do hope it is close to North Carolina.
On a side note, my friends and I did get to go to Universal Studios, which was AMAZING! My blogger friend and I got to meet for the first time. Which was amazing as well as another friend of mine. It was just a wonderful adventure that I will never forget.
Here are just some silly shots from the trip:
In my product postings, most of the products have been received free for my honest review. I will always give my honest opinion. All images and posts are property of Hello Betty.
