Howdy everyone!! Yesterday I shared with you all the Tender Belly Franks and today I would like to share with you a little bit about their bacon. I honestly can’t handle much meat in my diet, but when the weather starts to get warmer, I just crave a BLT. So yesterday I sat down and made myself one, and it was so yummy.
I am very odd because I love my bacon to be very well done and sometimes when I cook it this way I lose much of the flavor that the bacon has to offer. This is one reason that I adore the Tender Belly bacon, no matter how you like your bacon it will come out perfectly.
For this sandwich, I used the Tender Belly Dry Rubbed Uncured Bacon, and it was perfect! It has a little bit of a sweetness that goes perfectly with the smoke flavor.
We founded our business on our obsession with making great bacon and a passion for heritage pigs. And the most honored legacy of a glorious Tender Belly pig is truly great bacon! The heritage pigs we use for our bacon are from Iowa and are naturally grown: NO antibiotics, NO hormones, NO gestation and NO nitrates or farrowing crates, and fed a 100% vegetarian diet.
If you wanted to kick up your BLT a notch you could try out their DRY-RUB UNCURED HABAÑERO BACON!! I can’t handle too much spice, but I bet this would be perfect for those of you that want to add a punch to their lunches. I do like to add a little bit of a punch so for my BLT I used the Horseradish mayo and combined with the sweet and smokey Tender Belly bacon this was perfect.
I would have to say so far all of the Tender Belly products that I have tried including their bacon and franks are amazing and perfect for many different uses. If you have not tried out Tender Belly, you are missing out! You can purchase all of their products online, and they are reasonably priced. They also offer monthly clubs that you can join if you are a pork lover 🙂
In my product postings, most of the products have been received free for my honest review. I will always give my honest opinion. All images and posts are property of Hello Betty.
