THIS SHOP HAS BEEN COMPENSATED BY COLLECTIVE BIAS, INC. AND WALMART FAMILY MOBILE. ALL OPINIONS ARE MINE ALONE. #Save4Summer #COLLECTIVEBIAS

As summer heads into full gear, many of us are looking for ways to pinch a penny so that we can do everything we want. I am one of thosePicMonkey-Collage1-700x350 people. Each year, right about this time, I start saving for my little vacations. Being a part of another #CollectiveBias campaign to help readers find ways to save money, I thought I would share how I plan to save money this summer. I have two planned already one next month to Ocean City, and the other is more toward the fall for the NYC Comic Con. I am so excited for both trips, but when you need to save money in a jiffy what can you do?

To get me started on saving money, I totally cut back on all spending. I have a serious shopping problem, but control myself over the summer months, so that I don’t miss out on a thing. One of the biggest expenses my family has is our cell phone bill. We pay over $200.00 every month just for the limited text and talk. I live in an area that just does not offer many carriers, so my options are very limited.

One way that you and your family can save money this summer is to switch over to Walmart Family Mobile. For $29.88 a month I can get unlimited talk, text, and data! If I switch over, that would be a savings over $170.00. Just think, that is my gas money to get to these destinations!

Some of you might be thinking when you hear of plans such as this that the technology is so far behind when it comes to their phones. This is not true at all. I had the chance to check out the ZTE ZMAX, and the $29.88/month (for the first line) Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan which includes up to 1G of 4G LTE data and I was impressed. **Disclaimer: All prices for phones and plans included in this post are accurate as of the date of posting; however, these prices are subject to change. Please refer to http://cbi.as/ax84 or your local Walmart for current pricing.

The phone itself has a beautiful 5.7-inch HD touchscreen, which gives you a crisp, clear display for viewing photos, videos, applications and more. The integrated 1.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor pairs with the Android 4.4 (KitKat) operating system to let you navigate your device with ease. The smartphone features an 8-megapixel camera to help you capture your precious memories and share them with others via its built-in WiFi and 3G network capabilities. During the summer, my dogs love to hang outside. Lucy is always in the pool and Ricky loves to just lay in the sun, like his mommy. Here are some pictures that I took with the ZMAX.

Even if you don’t have big plans for the summer or vacations lined up. Taking advantage of this great deal is something that really should not be missed. Along with vacations during the summer my husband and I love to remodel the house. Just little projects can still cost a large chunk of money. With the amount, one could save using the #WalmartFamilyPlan, your possibilities are endless.

#Save4Summer with the Walmart Family Plan

As I lay outside dreaming of what all I am going to do and can do with this savings, I can’t help but think about where the ZTE ZMAX and I will travel to. I plan to take it with me over my trip next month because it really takes beautiful pictures, so much better than the phone I have now. Well, it seems every phone takes better pictures than my iPhone.

Other Ways To #Save4Summer

According to Bankrate here are another three ways to save money this summer.

Start with a spending plan: Decide upfront how much you’ll spend on your vacation. Get specific.

Sacrifice now for fun later: Do you belong to a health club or subscribe to a service (such as cable or satellite TV, a cell phone plan, etc.) that you no longer use, or could easily downgrade? This is a great opportunity to help save with the Walmart Family Plan.

Build cash with a ‘Pantry Week’: For one week each month, from now until your trip, stay out of the grocery store and eat only what you have in your house.

How does your family save for summer?

Such a great deal! Especially for unlimited talk/text/data. I’ve seen similar price points, but there tends to be data restrictions, so this is awesome! Also like that it comes with a newer version of Android, and not an outdated system. Overall, very impressive. Thanks for sharing!

We save a lot in summer by eating more at home, cooking out more, and doing more family type activities since it is not freezing out!

Awe..they are my babies 🙂 This really is the plan to check out. I can’t believe how much money I save. More money for vacations and of course SHOPPING 🙂 Eating at home more often is a great way to save money.

That is awesome!! I love a great phone deal 🙂 And all that for less than $30 is great! “Pantry Week” sounds pretty interesting. For my home, we try to sleep in one room so we can save electricity with AC bills.

That is a great way to cut back on electricity! I know we have had our AC going full blast. It has been so hot here in the NC mountains. Usually not like this at all here. Might have to put this money saving trick into use.
