Finding fantastic gluten-free products is never easy. There are so many on the market that, well, just don’t taste good at all. I always have a hard time finding bread products and excellent snacks. One option is to, bake your own, but that can be such a hassle and frankly, who has the time? Luckily, there are companies like Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery that offer great gluten-free products, ready to go. Rudi’s offers a variety of products from sandwich bread, tortillas, and wraps and even cheesy and garlic toast and cherry almond bars. Each of these products I had the pleasure to try out over the past couple of weeks and even find some at my local store so that I could continue to enjoy their products.
Let me give you a bit of information about each of the products and ways that I enjoyed them. The first product from Rudi’s that I tried was the Gluten-Free Original Sandwich bread. I was a bit scared at first; I have to admit because I always find that gluten-free bread have a funny taste. It might just be me, I don’t know, but they do. Rudi’s bread was nothing like that at all, in fact, I prefer to have Rudi’s bread over any other brand.
Throughout the summer many people get on a healthy kick, unfortunately when it comes to the foods that I can eat lettuce is about as brave as I can sometimes handle. So to check out this bread a simply made a lettuce and Sepo sandwich. Turned out perfectly and usually the Sepo is the hero of the sandwich but the bread topped it all off.
The second Rudi’s product I tried was the tortilla wraps. I received the original and the Fiesta. The Fiesta was excellent and perfect for quick lunches. The one thing that stood out to me about the Rudi’s tortillas were that they are super thin and very easy to wrap without breaking apart. This year I just started to eat cucumbers, I have never been a fan, but I love to slice up some cucumbers on the tortilla wraps and drizzle with Balsamic vinaigrette.
The third product I would like to share is the Rudi’s Toast. The first one I tried was the Cheesy Toast, and I was so surprised that they had Gouda cheese on them. These were outstanding. They are so simple to make. Simply pop in the oven and you’re good as gold. Rudi’s Toast comes in boxes with four servings, and they are individually wrapped with two pieces of bread a piece. I love that they thought about people who might not have a large family, perfect for just two people. The picture below is of the Garlic Toast, which is full of flavor and a great addition to a salad this summer. I would have taken a picture of the Cheesy Toast, but Mr. Bite ate every piece after I had my one slice.
The last product I tried out was the Cherry Almond Bars. I had a very hard time believing these babies were gluten-free. They are packed full of flavor! You can taste every ingredient that is put into them, including the almonds, cherries, and honey. All of my meals now end with a Cherry Almond Bar. They are not overly sweet, but just right!
Rudi’s gluten-free products are perfect for a veteran or a beginner, just getting started on a gluten-free diet. Everything I tried had amazing flavor and could be incorporated easily into everyday meals.
