Since doing my first review on a MiPow product, I have been itching to get my hands on another one of their products. The first review I did for them was for the M3 Headphones. These babies are awesome and stylish! I was not sure how this next product would be, but I knew their quality standards were high and again I was impressed. MiPow is an authorized manufacturing licensee of Apple Inc. Their functional and fashionable designs have won many prestigious awards including Macworld “Best” award.
This is the MiPow Power Tube 3000. The Power Tube 3000 is a compact and all-in-one portable charger with built-in original Lightning connector and male USB connector. The lightning connector works with the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iphone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5 as well as with the iPod touch (5th gen) and iPod Nano (7th gen).
Setting up and using this power tube is very simple with a few steps. Once the power tube is fully charged simply connect it to your iPhone, iPod or iPod Nano. There is an app that you download that helps you track the temperature and battery life of the tube. The app is called JuiceSync and can be downloaded via the app store. Once the app is downloaded, it tells you a little bit about the program you just installed and how to use it.
Once the Power Tube 3000 is synced with the app, it then tells you how much charge you have left in the tube. This tube offers 3000mAh capacity battery, which is enough to fill my iPod to a full charge. At 82% charge left on the tube my iPod is over half way charged and is at 29 degrees.
Included with your new Power Tube 3000, you also receive a nice bag to store your tube in. This is perfect to just throw in your purse or suitcase and go. The Tube is easy to attach to your USB on the computer as well as a wall USB charger, which I used. I did find when I used my computer to charge the tube, it was a bit bulky and blocked one of my ports on my computer. In all this is a great power source that packs a great punch to charge your devices. The one thing that really separates this product from others is that it was actually “Made For iPod” and “Made for iPhone”, so it has been certified by the developer to meet Apple performance standards.
In my product postings, most of the products have been received free for my honest review. I will always give my honest opinion. All images and posts are property of Hello Betty.
