Hello everyone!! I hope that you all are having a wonderful week. We all have those days where we just can’t get everything done. Heck, I am having one of those weeks! Even though Mr. Time is flying by does not mean that you can’t get dinner ready in a flash. Recently, I had the chance to check out a couple of meals from Kahiki, which I must say are actually good. My entire family love Asian food, and since we live in the mountains of North Carolina, the choice is very limited.
At Kahiki, we believe Asian food is naturally delicious and always should be. With that belief as our foundation, we’ve created delicious, uncomplicated recipes balanced with traditional Asian flavors. Each variety of our entrées and appetizers combines classic Asian spices and seasonings with nutritious, wholesome ingredients to bring you great-tasting food with a pure, natural simplicity. From our kitchen to your table, we promise: Real Asian. Real Simple.™
General Tso’s Chicken has always been one of my husband’s favorite dishes, and I was so tickled to have him try the Kahiki brand. What is so simple about the Kahiki’s General Tso’s Chicken is that everything is ready to go. Included in the package is Tempura white meat chicken, steamed white rice, broccoli and carrots with an Asian-style sauce.
All you have to do is simply pop it in the oven at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. There are other options to cooking the General Tso’s Chicken, but I have always preferred to cook items like this in the oven. I found that the directions on the package were perfect for my oven but as you all know when cooking anything times may vary depending on your particular oven.
My husband and his father really enjoyed the General Tso’s Chicken and said that it did have excellent flavor. I was just happy that I was able to get a meal done in time for dinner. Since I don’t eat chicken, I have to rely on my husband and his dad for reviews such as this. I do eat shrimp and next month I will have a posting about a great meal idea using the Kahiki Garlic Shrimp & Veggies! YUMMY
You can check out the entire line of Kahiki products on their site including egg rolls which would be great to add to the General Tso’s Chicken. While you are on the Kahiki site, make sure to sign up for their “Stir It Up Club” where you can receive a $1.00 off coupon to try out the Kahiki products.
In my product postings, most of the products have been received free for my honest review. I will always give my honest opinion. All images and posts are property of Hello Betty.
