So you think you know your ice cream? What ice cream should taste like and look like? Its ok. I thought I did as well, but boy oh boy, was I wrong! I like to think one thing in life I know about is ice cream. I eat it daily, no kidding. Graeter’s Ice Cream is something that everyone has to try, right this second. Hold all the calls, don’t answer that text message and grab a spoon! Graeter’s uses the same method Louis and Regina Graeter used in 1870! They make all their ice cream in 2 1/2 gallon french pots. This makes for an ice cream experience that is out of this world.
Graeter’s offers many different flavors to choose from and for this posting, I had the pleasure to try six of them with my family and friends. Let’s just say it was a home run, all smiling faces and nothing but empty bowls. The six that I chose was the Dark Truffle Chocolate Gelato , Cookies & Cream, Original Salted Caramel, Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Chip, Caramel Truffle Gelato and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. I decided to try both their ice cream and Gelato, which both offered a creamy unbelievable experience. If you want me to choose a favorite, it is impossible. If you want my taste testers to tell you their favorite, impossible yet again. Each of these pint sized new friends are packed full of flavor, that is incomparable to any ice cream.
If you go and buy a pint of ice cream in the store, say cookies and cream or even just chocolate chip. You will find funky tasting cookies and waxy chocolate chips, either one with hardly any flavor. This is where Graeter’s takes the prize! They use premium ingredients and you can really tell from the first spoonful. In the picture below you can see the huge chunks of chocolate! Yummy! This is their Dark Chocolate Truffle Gelato, which was almost gone before I had a chance to take a picture. Their Gelato is just as unbelievable as their ice cream. The density is perfect!
I literally could go on and on about Graeter’s Ice Cream, but this post would be a book! Everything was perfect about this brand, even their shipping method. Shipping ice cream is very difficult. Graeter’s ice cream (when you purchase online) comes in a wonderful Styrofoam container or cooler. Inside you will not only find your new ice cream, but it is kept cold with dry ice. This is the perfect way to ship ice cream, so that you’re not ending up with a container of melted goodness. I live in Creston, North Carolina and this package was shipped from Cincinnati, Ohio. Each of my new “pint friends” were nicely frozen and ready to eat. Here is a picture of the ice cream when I first received it. Notice how frozen it is.
So now that I have you drooling..he he he..Let me tell you where you can get your own Graeter’s Ice cream. You can use their store locator here and also buy their ice cream online. I was very surprised that I could actually get these locally here in Ashe County at Ingles. This ice cream is worth every last penny and you can purchase these in six pack for $60.00 or a pack of twelve for $100.00. If you having a graduation party, or just a get together this summer, these would be perfect. Even as a gift for Mother’s Day or graduation. I know what I will be asking for every holiday, I get a chance “Graeter’s Please”!!!!
Harris Teeter will be carrying Graeter’s starting in May. Make sure to look out for them 🙂
In my product postings, most of the products have been received free for my honest review. I will always give my honest opinion. All images and posts are property of Hello Betty.
