Slap it. Bang it and show your pride. You might be thinking to yourself, what in the world I am talking about? Challenge Coins? Challenge Coins have a rich history throughout the world from the Roman empire to even World War One. Stories actually span throughout history. Adrenaline Challenge coins are a simple way to show your membership in an organization or special recognition’s you hold. Besides using coins for challenging, they are also used as rewards or awards for outstanding service or performance of duty. As such, they are used as a tool to build morale.
Challenge coins are a nearly 100 year old military tradition that now comes to the NHL®. A challenge coin is a coin or medallion bearing an organization’s insignia or emblem and carried by the organization’s members at all times.
The one purpose of a challenge coin is to let others know that you belong to a certain organization or to initiate a challenge. To effectively start a challenge you just grab your coin, slam it on a bar or hard surface. All group members must then slap their coins on the bar. If someone is without a coin, they must buy the group a round of drinks. If everyone has their coin, the challenger must buy the drinks.
Personally, I have always been familiar with challenge coins, but never really looked into the history of the coin. I find it fascinating that throughout many wars such as WWI & WWII these coins were prevalent in the regiments. I can remember as a kid going with my grandmother and grandfather to the VFW. We would always sit in the dinning room and eat, but I could hear in the bar area all these bangs. One day I asked my grandfather what in the world is going on in there. He said that, that was the boys playing with their coins. How funny! Since those good ol’ times with my grandparents, I don’t think I have ever heard a challenge outside of the VFW, but I think it is a wonderful opportunity to everyone to take part in this past time.
Adrenaline Challenge Coins are the first challenge coins, I personally have ever held in my hand and the quality is stunning. These coins are made out of brass, which is supposed to be the best element to make such coins. Brass provides the best weight, durability, and appearance for your coin, and Adrenaline Challenge Coins use only brass as the base material. They don’t use inferior materials that can cause your finish to separate or plating to de-laminate. Adernaline Challenge coins offer several finishes to make your groups challenge coin unique such as Brass, Nickel, Copper, Silver, Gold, Antique Silver and Antique Gold.
Each coin can be made for your group as a challenge coin or these would also be perfect as a presentation piece, award, or gift. Are you getting ready to run a fundraiser? These would be perfect to show your appreciation for all involved. I love the detail of the coins and the workmanship that has went into each and every detail. The weight is perfect for slamming down on a bar or hard surface. So slap it. Bang it and show your pride, with Adrenaline Challenge Coins.
