Don’t D.I.Y. LIGHTIFY Giveaway

This post was sponsored by OSRAM SYLVANIA as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary merchandise to facilitate my review.

I just love when the sun is out bright, and the temperatures start to get a bit warmer. For me, that means it is time to update some of the items in my home but this year I really wanted to update my lighting. We have so much going on right now that trying to do a total overhaul is next to impossible, but the perfect lighting can make a huge difference in a room alone and change the mood completely.

One line of products on the market is LIGHTIFY from OSRAM SYLVANIA. The amount of products that LIGHTIFY offers to help you transform your home when it comes to lighting is vast. I actually had the chance to check out a couple of their products and the one thing that really stuck out for me was how easy everything was to set up.

The LIGHTIFY products are controlled by an easy to install app that is available for free on iTunes and Google Play. The best way for me to explain everything is to run through the process that I took to connect my new LIGHTIFY products to the app. The app is a must to use these products because you can control everything right from your phone or tablet.

I will say that I did have some trouble getting my HTC phone to work with the app, so I ended up using my iPad. Once the app was installed, it will tell you all the steps that you need to take to get up and running. Including connecting the gateway (pictured below) to your wireless router in your home.  There are just a few simple steps including receiving an activation code sent to your email.

During the installation process, the light on the front will flash orange and once connected to your home wireless router it will be a steady green.

Once this is done, you can pair all of your bulbs from LIGHTIFY and connect them with ease. The LIGHTIFY bulbs themselves are amazing, but the LIGHTIFY FLEX RGBW has to be my favorite of all the products. I installed my FLEX strip inside of my new console that I bought a couple of weeks ago, and it looks amazing!! Here is a before and after photo. I love that you can’t see the strip, and it pushes out so much light, changing the room completely.

To set up your FLEX RGBW, you simply need to connect the pieces of the strip together. Attach the power adapter and the controller. If the strips are too long for the application you want to use it for simply cut along the little marks on the strip.

Not only will you have control over turning your different LIGHTIFY products one and off but you can also change the color. For example with the LIGHTIFY FLEX you can change the color of the light to just about anything under the sun using the wheel (in the app). With the LIGHTIFY bulbs you can switch from different types of  light  from warm white for relaxing to bright white for concentration, directly from the app.

Not only can you do all of these cool things that can help transform your home this spring with ease but you can also automate the entire system!! This for me is HUGE. You could set the lights in each bedroom to gradually turn on with cool light to wake everyone up more naturally in the morning yet, have the lights in your hallways dim to a low, warm light each night.

The possibilities with the LIGHTIFY system is really endless and I am so happy with everything. From being easy to set up and work exactly as described, LIGHTIFY is a great way to update your home without having to do huge DIY projects. If you are already using a smart home product, this connected lighting solution is likely compatible with the wireless hub you already own. All you need are the light sources of your choice.

LIGHTIFY products can be purchased at Lowe’s and Amazon them easy to access and their prices are perfect for a little home update.

In my product postings, most of the products have been received free for my honest review. I will always give my honest opinion. All images and posts are property of Hello Betty.
