If you are the artistic type, this is something you have to check out. I am by no means artistic, but I still think this is as cool as sliced bread (smile). Best Buy is the world’s first 3D printing pen with cool ink! On October 26th, 2015 CreoPop launched in over 1,000 Best Buy stores.
I have had so much fun playing with the CreoPop!! To get started with your new 3D printing pen all, you have to do is take it out of the package. Read the little directions booklet that will explain everything you need to know. You want to make sure before using it for the first time like most electronics (just good practice) is to charge the pen. I really like how there are no batteries that I have to worry about. Simply use the USB included in the package.
Along with the CreoPop, you receive three ink cartridges (red, orange, cyan) along with a couple of tips to help you control the thickness of the lines. You can control the flow of the ink with the touch button on top of the pen.The buttons for the power and the control of the flow of ink is in the perfect position at the top of the pen.
Personally, I set this on a low speed so that I would have more control over the ink. It also comes with a mat to make your creations.
I did make a couple of things with this pen, and while I was at my father’s, I let him play with it as well. He made a dog. I thought it looked great! Below you will see a picture of the dog as well as a “Bites Reviews” logo my husband did.
CreoPop Product Features:
- Draw in 3D: Built-in LEDs harden the ink as you create your 3D form, so the pen remains cool to the touch.
- Switch ink colors mid-creation: CreoPop inks can easily be changed out of the pen to suit your design. Includes three ink cartridges to help get you started.
- Rechargeable lithium-ion battery: Enjoy reliable, long-lasting power. Use the included USB cable to refuel when the power runs out.
So What Is Different About CreoPop?
In contrast to other 3D pens, there are no hot parts with CreoPop, along with no melting plastic and no unpleasant smells. Instead, CreoPop uses light-sensitive ink (photopolymers) that are solidified using LED diodes to let users create amazing 3D designs. Since no heating is required, CreoPop is safe in a home environment with children and pets around.
In all, I had the best time playing with the CreoPop. It is the first 3D pen that I have had a chance to try out and I must say they are super fun. If you are artistic, you would be able to make some fabulous creations with this baby. Right now you can purchase this at Best Buy for $99.00, but I don’t know how long this sale will last. The suggest retail value is $129.99. If you enjoy creating beautiful pieces, I would highly recommend checking this out.
