Father’s Day is just a few short weeks away, which means it is time to do the impossible. I have always struggled with Father’s Day. Finding that perfect gift that not only can be used throughout the year, but actually serves some sort of function. When it comes to any holiday, I love to give a gift that can be used and loved. One company that I was not familiar with before this posting is Stauer and what is something that a father always has on? A watch! I know my dad owns several, but each is for a different attire. When I first saw the Stauer 1930’s Gold Finished Watch, I was taken back, but before I get into detail about this particular watch, let me give you a bit of history about Stauer.
For over a decade, Stauer has brought unique jewelry, watches and luxury items to savvy customers at competitive prices. From antique necklaces from India, to vintage watches from Switzerland, to exotic gemstone earrings from Peru, each Stauer piece has a rich heritage, a captivating story and is sourced worldwide. By navigating the globe’s beautiful treasures and continuously expanding product lines and services, Stauer stays true to its commitment to offering consumers truly unique, curated pieces unobtainable elsewhere.
Just from looking at the Stauer 1930’s watch, you can tell the pride that they take in their products. I love how classic this watch is and makes you really think of all the advancements that happened throughout our history. Not only does it feature hands to tell time, one such complication, called a jumping mechanism, utilized numerals on a disc viewed through a window. This watch really does remind me of an old radio dials of the 1930’s. I am a huge antique fanatic from the 30’s to the 60’s and just holding this watch I think of the era.
How cool is that? I adore this watch and know that any father out there would as well. If they are into cars or just like to think of the good ol’ days, this watch is perfect. You might be thinking, how does this remind me of a car? It does! Think about it, not only does the watch face look like a good old radio, but it also resembles that of a gauge in a car. Before reading the description and information about the watch that was the first thing that came to my mind.
Setting the time on this 1930’s Jump Watch is actually very simple to do. Before you wear it for the first time wind the crown about 15-20 times, in the zero position (the crown is the knob on the side, which has three positions). Once this is done simply set the crown to the second crown position and set the proper time. Very simple for anyone to do.
I think this truly is a classic gift for Father’s Day and a great example of the quality that Stauer offers their customers. The only thing that I will mention is that the time is a bit hard to read, if your sight is not the best. That was the only fault that I really found in this watch, but that would not stop me from purchasing one. This watch really does look and feel like a more expensive watch. The price of the Stauer 1930’s Gold Watch is regularly $299.00, but right now they actually have a coupon code offered, so the price would be $179.00. For the price, I feel you are getting a wonderful gift. They also offer a couple of different styles to choose from if this particular watch did not fit the style you’re looking for. I would highly recommend checking any of their watches out. I can only imagine that they would be as wonderful as this one.
In my product postings, most of the products have been received free for my honest review. I will always give my honest opinion. All images and posts are property of Hello Betty.
