It is a fact that nowadays most everyone have a phone. When you purchase a new phone, it really is an investment because let’s be real smartphones are not cheap no matter how you look at it. One of the best ways to protect your phone is having a case that you can rely on and there are so many on the market. Today I would like to share with you one choice that I feel has a bit of a leverage when it comes to other cases on the market; they are called Catalyst.
The catalyst is an award-winning manufacturer of the world’s most protective and stylish waterproof cases, and accessories for electronic devices announces that the bar for complete, waterproof protection has been raised once again! Their latest line of products includes 100% waterproof/drop proof cases for the iPhone 7, 7 Plus or Apple Watch Series 2. Which means they’re 5x more waterproof than any other solution on the market (phone cases waterproof to 33 ft and watch cases to 330 ft.) military tested drop proof – total protection and a must have for travel and the active lifestyle.
I don’t know about you, but no matter how hard I try to keep my phone from falls and drops into the unknown it is almost impossible to do so. Life happens right? That is one of the reasons that I would suggest checking out a Catalyst phone. They understand that we all live different lifestyles which mean that we all need different protection when it comes to a phone and having the perfect waterproofing as well as drop case is so important.
I had a chance to check out the case for the iPhone 6 Plus (shame on me I still don’t have a seven or an Apple watch), and I must say that I really like it. I have always used an OtterBox, but I have found that I do prefer this case for a couple of reasons.
Why The Catalyst Over The OtterBox?
Installation: First off, I know I have mentioned before that I have tremors. This can be a pain in the ass when you are trying to put on a case for a phone. If you have ever used an OtterBox, you know that they can be a pain in the ass themselves to get on. I really like how easy it is to put the Catalyst case on my phone. It takes seconds, and I did not struggle at all with my tremors. The Catalyst case simply snaps on…Easy as that….
The Looks: Personally I prefer the Catalyst case over the OutterBox for one reason. I chose my iPhone 6 Plus in rose gold because I like the rose gold! Using an Otterbox, I literally can’t see any of the phone’s color or features. The Catalyst uses a clear housing so that you can still see the style and beauty of the actual phone. The entire phone is made of premium quality materials including impact resistant polycarbonate, a soft-touch rubber bumper, silicone seals and air & water tight acoustic membranes.
Also when it comes to the looks one feature that I really adore is the little wheel on the side of the case. You can use this to simply turn your ringer on or off. For me this really comes in handy and is a great little side feature not available on any other case I have seen.
Waterproof: Both the Catalyst and the Otterbox is waterproof to a point, but one out does the other. The Catalyst has been tested 16.4 meters whereas the Otterbox is tested at 6.6 Feet. This can be a huge difference if you plan to be near the water or spend your summer at the beach. Taking this into consideration I feel that the Catalyst out preforms the Otterbox in this area.
Camera Cover: Another point that I really like versus the OtterBox is that the Catalyst offers a shield over camera itself. This protects the camera lens against scratches which are bound to happen.
In all, I really think that the Catalyst line of cases are the better option when it comes to your investment in your phone and protection. This case also offers a free tool when you purchase it if you enjoy playing Pokemon Go, so please be sure to check that out. Sorry, I don’t play the game, so I am not really sure how this works. LOL.
